Our nutrient-rich bone broth helps support your pet’s immune system in the following ways:
Promotes healthy digestion and immune system: Gentle on the stomach and promotes a healthy gut microbiome, encouraging friendly bacteria, which in turn promotes the health of your pet’s immune system.
Great for leaky gut syndrome, colitis and irritable bowel syndrome: Gelatine and collagen can help heal the gut and reduce inflammation, resulting in less food intolerances, healthier digestive system and better health overall.
Healthy Joints: A rich source of collagen, our broth contains natural glucosamine and chondroitin, which promotes bone and joint health and can help ease stiff and sore joints.
Gentle on the stomach and great for recovery: Our broth is incredibly gentle on the digestive system, meaning it’s great for sensitive pets, sick pets, or those in recovery. It’s an excellent product for stomach upsets, and bouts of diarrhoea and can help with reduction of gas and acid reflux.
Encourages Hydration and encourages fussy eaters: Bone broth is a fantastic way to encourage and increase your pet’s hydration. Use as is, or add to water to encourage drinking. It also can help increase appetite for those fussy or elderly pets.
Promotes Healthy Skin and Coat: Because our broths are rich in collagen, the building blocks of the body, they help promote coat and skin health.
Liver Health: Because our broths contain the amino acid Glycine, they can help cleanse and promote a healthy liver.

How to use our beef bone broth
For everyday use and maintenance we recommend :
Small – Medium Pets (25-50mls)
Medium – Large (Pets 50-75mls)
Giant Pets (75-100mls)
Can be used as an everyday supplement to feeding. Not to be used to replace complete meals
Whilst the above is a guide, should you have a sick / recovering pet larger amounts of broth can be used to encourage eating and hydration and to build up your pet. The product can be gently warmed to encourage feeding. Temperatures must be checked before use in this way to ensure that product is not too hot for your pet.
- Larger amounts can also be used when used for sporting dogs for rehydration and nourishment, or for when extra hydration is needed.
- Bone broth can not easily be overdosed on, but like any food or supplement, sensible amounts should be fed per size of the pet.
- Once the product is refrigerated or becomes cold, it will transform into a thick jelly. This is normal and what is desired from a quality bone broth.
- Can be fed as a room temperature liquid, a jelly from the fridge, or frozen. If desired, the broth can be gently warmed to return it to a liquid state. Always check that heat is appropriate
Storage
- This product is designed to be stored on the shelf or in the cupboard at ambient temperatures. Keep out of direct sunlight or excessive heat.

High quality turmeric extract containing 95% curcuminoids, with added piperine for increased absorption
Our specially formulated Turmeric Tablets for dogs and cats are made using a pure and potent extract. Consisting of 95% curcuminoids - the active part of turmeric - they can help support your pet`s natural anti-inflammatory processes. This may be of particular benefit to pets with troublesome joints. Extracted from whole root and with added Bioperine® (black pepper extract) to help boost absorption, you can be sure that our supplement has maximised quality and bioavailability.
What is turmeric?
Turmeric is the latest wonder herb from Southern India and is in the same family of herbs as ginger. The rhizome is the part of the plant that is eaten - this is the underground, horizontal stem, commonly termed the root.
The therapeutic actions of turmeric have widely been attributed to compounds it contains called curcuminoids. There are three main curcuminoids but the most common and well known is curcumin, which makes up 80% of the total curcuminoids in turmeric. However, curcuminoids only account for 2-6% of the root’s content and the whole root provides activities superior to curcumin alone. By taking supplements created using the whole root you get a whole host of other benefits from all the other compounds that make up turmeric, as well as the curcuminoids.
What are the benefits of using turmeric?
Historically, turmeric is well known for its naturally supportive properties in anti-inflammatory processes. There are likely to be many other benefits to taking turmeric though and studies are ongoing to discover them, so watch this space! There is more about turmeric and its effects on our blog post - click here
Why Dorwest Turmeric Tablets?
Easy to absorb
Unfortunately, the bioavailability of curcumin has been found to be low. This is the proportion of curcumin that can be absorbed and enter the blood circulation following ingestion, which can then have active effects on the body. Luckily, we have a solution though - by adding in a compound found naturally in black pepper called piperine (Bioperine®) the bioavailability of curcumin is increased. In fact, one study has found that taking piperine along with curcumin can increase its bioavailability by 2000%!
Standardised, traceable and sustainable
With the popularity of turmeric soaring there are unfortunately those wanting to make a ‘quick buck’ by selling low-quality produce. Turmeric has even been found to be mixed with other ingredients and artificially coloured. Good quality turmeric and curcumin supplements for dogs and cats will contain a standardised amount of curcuminoids of 95%. Our Turmeric Tablets were made with this in mind and contain 95% curcuminoids, with each tablet providing 175mg of whole root turmeric extract, equivalent to 7175mg dry whole root.
Our Turmeric Tablets are fully traceable and vigorously tested from source to end product to ensure a pure and consistent high quality. We only use sustainable sources, opting for turmeric grown using traditional small farming methods in Southern India, as our impact on the environment and local communities is very important to us here at Dorwest.
We know it might be tempting to use turmeric you see on the supermarket shelves but the turmeric we use for our dogs and cats must be of medicinal quality; culinary turmeric is produced for taste, not the quality of the curcuminoid compounds.
Is turmeric safe to give?
Turmeric is thought amongst herbalists to be a very safe herb but it is important to discuss its use with your vet before you give it to your pet, especially if they are taking any medication or about to undergo elective surgery. It’s important to note that turmeric reportedly has anti-coagulant properties which could exacerbate clotting disorders.

Help keep your pet’s tummy naturally comfortable and stools normal with this blend of complementary digestive herbs
Three herbs renowned for their digestive health properties work together provide effective digestive support, for comfortable tummies and normal stools.
Slippery elm bark
- - contains mucilage, a sticky substance that helps maintain good bowel regularity and stool consistency
Marshmallow root
- - another powerful mucilagenous herb that coats the gut, soothing and assisting gut transit
White poplar bark
- - helps to keep tummies comfortable, thanks to its soothing properties
Which dogs can benefit from Tree Barks Powder?
Gut problems are common in our pets, with gurgling tummies, excessive wind, nausea, inappetence and looser or more frequent stools all being signs that something isn`t quite right. Various medical conditions, stress and changes in your pet’s environment or diet (including eating things that they shouldn’t have!), can all be to blame. Whether it’s ongoing tummy troubles or a short-term upset though, Tree Barks Powder can help quickly soothe your pet’s digestive tract, as it is suitable for long or short-term use. The gentle action of Tree Barks Powder means that it is suitable to use in pets of all ages too, including weaning puppies and kittens.
How does Tree Barks Powder work?
Tree Barks Powder is a fine fluffy powder which does something magic when it gets wet! It becomes almost blancmange like, hence the name ‘slippery’ elm, and we all know how gooey marshmallows are... The moisture in the digestive tract is enough to cause this Tree Barks Powder transformation, allowing it to coat and soothe the stomach and digestive tract (emollient action), and slow down the passage of food. All this helps maintain normal absorption of nutrients and stools with a normal consistency.
Ingredients: Finely powdered slippery elm bark (50%), marshmallow root (40%) and white poplar bark (10%)
Administration: Give daily. Add 1 tsp per 10 kgs bodyweight to food (split this total daily amount between meals) or mix with liquid. This amount can be increased if required, based on individual response.
Can be used during pregnancy?: Yes
Can be used during lactation?: Yes
Interactions: Can be given in conjunction with other medications

Special Warnings: Due to the wide range of intestinal disorders, some of which may be serious, it is recommended that veterinary advice be sought before using this product or if the condition fails to improve.

All the power of ‘super-greens’ in an easy to give powder for an all-round health boost
Our Easy Green Powder supplement has all the power of `super-greens` in an easy-to-give powder. Just add to your pet`s normal food for them to get all the benefits of eating a bowl of greens, without a spinach leaf in sight! The quick air-drying process retains maximum nutrients in a digestible form to naturally boost levels of iron, vitamin C, chlorophyll, calcium, magnesium and antioxidants (to neutralise free radicals) for all-round health. For pets with hot, itchy skin, our Easy Green Powder also has cooling properties.
Why might my dog need Easy Green Powder?
Did you know that dogs find it hard to digest vegetables? Even a super green dinner packed full of vegetables might not give your dog much veggie goodness! This is because dogs find it hard to break down the cellulose in vegetables, so these nutritious plants need to be given pulsed, or more easily, in an appropriate supplement for better absorption. Dogs also have a much shorter digestive tract than humans, so have a smaller time period in which to absorb the nutrients from food. Our Easy Green Powder is especially made for dogs to maximise absorption, providing a diet super-boost.
Is this suitable for dogs on a raw diet?
Yes, absolutely! Our Easy Green Powder is the perfect partner for a raw diet. Providing a range of nutrients in an easily digestible form, it is 100% natural, with no fillers or additives.
Ingredients: Finely powdered Spinach, Parsley and Watercress

Naturally reduce your pet’s stress or anxiety with no drowsiness
We know it can be stressful to experience and manage your pet`s anxiety but we`re here to help, every step of the way. Our Scullcap & Valerian Tablets help to naturally relax your pet, with the active herbs naturally supporting the calming pathways within the nervous system, reducing anxiety without immobilising muscles or causing drowsiness. They don’t make pets dopey or wobbly – in fact they are widely used for agility and show dogs when they need to be alert and focussed, but calm. One of our best-sellers, Scullcap & Valerian Tablets help tackle stress, fear and anxiety, whatever the cause, so you and your pet can relax, no matter what.
How do these tablets work?
The specially selected ingredients in our Scullcap & Valerian Tablets work together to help tackle stress, fear and anxiety in your pet:
- Valerian - helps to support the natural relaxant pathways within the nervous system, without affecting muscles.
- Scullcap - contains a number of valuable compounds including those which bind to the GABA receptor and reduce anxiety.
- Mistletoe - helps to support the natural calming pathways within the nervous system and helps circulation.
- Gentian - supports the other natural active compounds and helps maintain normal liver function.
What situations are Scullcap & Valerian Tablets good for?
Our Scullcap & Valerian Tablets help to support the natural calming pathways within the nervous system, making them useful in a variety of challenging situations:
- Noise phobias (fireworks/thunderstorms)
- New home/rescue
- Separation anxiety
- Travelling
- Habitual anxiety
- Canine cognitive dysfunction and associated confusion/disorientation
- Training/performance support
- False pregnancy - dog can become anxious and unsettled
- Hyperactive dogs
- Territorial urine spraying in cats
- Skin sensitivity in nervous dogs
- Conditions that are exacerbated by a heightened state of anxiety or nervous excitability
There are no quick fixes when it comes to successfully helping your dog to manage their anxiety or fears for the long-term. Often, gentle and consistent behavioural work and training are required to help them to respond more positively to stressful situations, which takes time. This process is likely to be more effective when your dog is more relaxed, and this is where Scullcap & Valerian Tablets can help.
When do I need to start giving the tablets?
Our Scullcap & Valerian Tablets should be given daily, ideally splitting the recommended daily amount in two, to give half in the morning and half in the evening. For best results, we advise that Scullcap & Valerian Tablets are used every day for a minimum of three weeks, ideally alongside gentle and consistent behavioural work and training. By reducing anxiety levels to more manageable levels, our Scullcap & Valerian Tablets increase the likelihood that your pet will be more responsive to this training.
For `one-off` stressful events, our Valerian Compound is a great short-term, quicker-acting option and can also be used alongside Scullcap & Valerian Tablets for a top-up, if needed.
Why should I use Dorwest calming products and do they really work?

PurrForm Complete Supplement can be used with raw muscle meat including heart and Gizzard to provide a complete diet. As PurrForm Complete Supplement contains all the vitamins, Minerals and Amino acids, you don’t need to add any liver or bones. We have used the Chelated (organic) Minerals as these are nutritionally superior to the inorganic forms and therefore more bioavailable ie. better absorbed by the body to ensure optimum benefit.
- The amount of sodium, is due to the fact that, sodium is a nutrient required by cats and is important for maintaining water and electrolyte balance. The sodium included in the supplement is coming predominantly from Salt (Sodium chloride). This product is a supplement designed to be fed in small amounts per day, so the level of sodium and total salt intake provided by the supplement (as for all other nutrients provided) is calculated to help balance the likely deficiencies experienced when feeding raw meat only.
Feeding Guide:
An adult cat weighing 4kg requires approximately 120g of meat per day, spread over 2 meals.
Mix 100g of meat with 1.0g of PurrForm Complete Supplement using the 1g scoop provided. Sprinkle the powder over the meat and mix the preparation before giving to your cat.

Pooch & Mutt Salmon Oil is sustainably sourced from Atlantic Salmon reared in Scottish sea lochs under carefully controlled, natural and environmentally compatible conditions. The salmon oil has a rich taste that dogs (and cats) love.
Omega oils are essential for skin and coat quality, cardiovascular/ heart health, immune response, cognitive/ brain function and joint function/ mobility.
Omega 3 (DHA) and puppies.
Omega 3 fatty acids cannot be made by your pet’s body, so it is vital that your pet consumes them as part of their diet. Since the 1930s it has been known that the omega 3 fatty acids docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) were essential for normal growth.
